Martha’s experiences with her granddaddy have served her well in her newest horticultural therapy for seniors project at Dunwoody Pines Retirement Community in Georgetown. That project is vermicomposting -- the process of using worms to turn newspapers, paper scraps and some kitchen waste into black, earthy-smelling, nutrient-rich humus that plants love.
